What is Extra Virgin Olive Oil about ?

Since ancient times, olive oil was used for food preparation, as well as for beauty and body care.

Compared to all other vegetable oils, olive oil is not obtained from plant seeds, but directly from the fruit. So it is not a seed oil, but a juice *. Thus olive oil "extra virgin" is a cold-pressed, untreated, unadulterated, naturally pure "fruit juice". It contains unique healthy components that are not found in other vegetable oils. The higher the quality of the olive oil, the higher the proportion of the so-called secondary Phytochemicals (polyphenols) which are responsible for the extraordinary antioxidative effects. Latest research results prove these positive characteristics.
